Obituary

(by Rose Titford BWISC Bulletin Dec 1966)

C. E. Patrick passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly on the 5th November last. He was a keen philatelist and had been a member of the B.W.I. Study Circle since its formation. He had built up an extensive collection of Jamaica, both adhesive and pre-adhesive material, and he had acquired a wide knowledge of the postal history of that Island, and he was always willing to share this knowledge with others. Many of his happiest hours were spent discussing philately with friends, and his displays to various Societies gave immense pleasure to many. It may be remembered that he won two Silver Medals and one Bronze Medal at the 1966 Stampex. His quiet, charming manner, and his constant readiness to help others, will be sadly missed by all with whom he came in contact. We extend our deepest sympathy to his widow and his two daughters at this sad time.
