Rodney Hall (A71) was served by the rajlway branch line running from Spanish Town to Ewarton
in the parish of St. Thomas. Because of the unsavoury reputation its house of correction obtained
in slavery days, in 1868 the name disappeared and it was re-named Linstead.
This letter was written by a Mr. George Geddes on October 25th 1859 to Mr. Airey, a solicitor,
who received it the following day. The letter writer is concerned about the outcome of a dispute
over a parcel of land which was to be heard at the next Petty Sessions.
