         Prohibitions:  Bank-notes,  currency  notes,  documents  payable  to  bearer,
        charged  butane  gas  lighters  and  refills  (uncharged lighters  arc  admitted),  coin
        gold, jewellery, platinum,  precious  stones,  silver,  plants,  contraceptives,  radio­
        active materials, narcotics.
         Parcel Post

           Air
         Insurance:  No Service.
         Customs declarations:  2  forms  C2/CP3  and  I  despatch  note  CP2  written in
        French and English.
         Prohibitions:  Letters;  arms,  except  sporting  guns  admitted  under  permit;
       charged  butane  gas  lighters  and  refills  (uncharged  lighters  arc  admitted  and
       should  be declared  as such on  the customs  declaration  forms);  saccharin; con­
        traceptives, radio-active materials.
         Restrictions:  Living plants, roots and bulbs, gramophone records, liqueurs and
       spirits, preserved fish, shrubs, tobacco, cut flow ers, eggs of game birds during close
       season,  fish  and  game  birds,  fresh  fruit;  fresh  vegetables  and  potatoes,  drugs
       including seed potatoes.
         Import licence is required for the importation of all goods.
         Sealing:  Parcels should be scaled with a distinctive device.
         Delivery:  Parcels are not delivered.  Charges arc collected from the addressees.
         Invoices are required  for  parcels containing goods valued at more than  JS15.
       CHILE
         Letter Post

           Air Mail
         Dutiable articles may be sent  by letter and small packet post—up to S103 green
       label written in French or Spanish and English required; thereafter top green  label
       and  form C2/CP3.  Items subject to customs  duty  arc not  accepted in  ordinary
       and registered letters.
         Serums, vaccines and  urgently required medicaments are admitted in all cases.
         Small packets must not exceed 1 lb in weight.
         Items of value (coins, currency notes, gold  etc.)  are  not  admitted in  registered
       letters.
         Insurance:  No Service.
         Prohibitions:  Bank-notes,  currency  notes  and  documents  payable  to  bearer,
       coin,  platinum  or silver, manufactured or not.  gold, jewellery,  precious  stones.
         The importation of certain classes of goods is prohibited.
         Restrictions:  Pharmaceutical products.
         Import  Licences:  Import  licences  are  not  required  but  heavy surcharges are
       payable on many goods.
