In addition to the Military Censor handstamp, this cover bears a two-line handstamp for the "Brigadier,
Commanding the Troops, Jamaica".

handwritten address is in the same hand as the signature in the lower left corner).

The Military Censor handstamp (AC4; number 1) has not been previously recorded with this number.

The "Brigadier, Commanding the Troops, Jamaica" handstamp is also unrecorded. A second strike of this
mark, again signed, is found on the back of the cover. The signature is difficult to decipher.

The close association of both handstamps on the front of the cover suggests that the censorship mark was
probably applied by (or for) the Brigadier.
